Documentation
ScoreboardTV runs in your TV’s web browser — the same way
you’d visit a website. You do not install an app from an
app store. You open your channel’s URL, which uses your site’s domain (for example yoursite.com ) plus the path we give you (for example /tv/abc123xyz ).
Recommended TVs
For the smoothest experience, we recommend using the built-in browser on:
- LG (webOS) — open the browser app, then enter your full channel URL.
- Samsung (Tizen) — use Samsung Internet or the built-in browser, then go to your channel URL.
- Amazon Fire TV Stick — open the Silk browser, then type or paste your channel URL. Fire TV is a strong choice for venues that already use HDMI sticks.
Roku
We do not recommend Roku for ScoreboardTV. Roku’s browser options are limited, awkward to use with long URLs, and hard to support for staff who need to “just open the scoreboard.” If you use Roku today, plan to switch the display to LG, Samsung, or Fire TV for the best results.
Open your channel on the TV
- On your phone or laptop, sign in to ScoreboardTV and go to Channels.
Copy the TV streaming URL for the screen you want (it looks
like
/tv/<token>). - On the TV, open the browser and tap the address bar. Enter your site’s domain name and path together — for example:
https://yourdomain.com/tv/yourtokenUse the same host you use on the web (your production origin). You are going directly to that address; no app install required. - Leave the TV on that page. The board reloads on a schedule so scores stay current. Bookmark the page if your browser supports it so staff can reopen it quickly.
Tips
- One URL per screen — each channel has its own URL; use a different channel for each TV if you want different score mixes.
- Venue network — you can optionally lock TV access to your venue’s IP in Settings so the scoreboard only loads on your network.
- Fullscreen — use your browser’s fullscreen mode if available so the address bar stays hidden during games.
